Truck Driving Licence

C1 Category – Truck up to 7.5 t

The C1 category covers motor vehicles, except D1, D and F categories, with a maximum authorised mass of more than 3,500 kg but not more than 7,500 kg. These vehicles are designed to carry no more than 8 passengers in addition to the driver.

Training Process

  • CPP theory course (8 hours)
  • Medical certificate for category C
  • Theory test at the examination centre
  • Minimum of 20 practical driving lessons
  • Practical driving test before the examination commission

Requirements

  • Valid category B driving licence
  • Minimum age: 18 years

C Category – Truck Driving Licence

The C category covers motor vehicles with a maximum authorised mass of more than 3,500 kg, except tractors and buses.

You can obtain a C category licence from the age of 18 if you are in the process of obtaining the initial qualification, Code 95. Otherwise, the minimum age is 21.

  • Proof of enrolment in initial qualification training

  • Theory test at the examination centre
  • Minimum of 20 practical driving lessons
  • Practical driving test before the examination commission
  • Initial qualification training and exam
  • Issuing of the driving licence and entry of Code 95

  • Practical driving test before the examination commission

Requirements

  • Minimum age: 21 years
  • Or 18 years with enrolment in the initial qualification process
  • Valid medical certificate
  • Valid category B driving licence

CE Category – Truck with Trailer

The CE category covers vehicle combinations consisting of a C category towing vehicle and a trailer with a maximum authorised mass of more than 750 kg.

This licence also includes the right to drive BE and C1E category vehicles. In combination with a D1 or D category licence, it may also include D1E or DE categories.

  • Practical driving test before the examination commission

Code 95 – Initial Qualification

Code 95 is required for professional drivers who drive vehicles for commercial road transport. If you want to work as a truck driver, you need to obtain the initial qualification and have Code 95 entered on your driving licence.
